I didn't mention Omotesando before but its very nice and beautiful shopping street full of luxury brands. Its very close to Yoyogi park which I mentioned number #2 on my list of Things To Do In Tokyo.
1 When you need a brake from shopping in Omotesando street or if you are not far from Yoyogi park or just passing by this area don't hesitate to visit Aoyama Flower Market Tea. Why to go there? It is not typical Japanese cafe, but for sure this place is something beyond amazing. This beautiful tea house locates inside of a flower shop. If you don't know that there is a hidden heaven inside, you would probably just pass and miss this place. But now you know may be the best secret in town=)
Inside the cafe you will be surrounded by greenery, greenery is everywhere including under your glass table. You will find yourself in a unique ambience with all the flowers. The plants create a calm and wonderful aroma throughout the entire place. You will have refreshing experience. The place offers some simple Western-style cafe food but it is best for its great range of teas (no coffee) and scones. They have food selection are small but very delicious. Must try: French toast and Rose Tea.

Address Minamiaoyama, Minato, Tokyo 107-0062 (directly outside Omotesando station exit).
There are some of them I found in Tokyo! They are not usual classy restaurants, but they can bring nice and new experience to you during your Japan travel. There are a lot of good options of not typical restaurants in Tokyo. I chose those which, in my opinion, are worth to visit first of all.
I divided this places by area, so you know what cafe or restaurant will be closer to your location.
Check this great POST about visiting this super amazing and delicious place! I will try my best to visit it too!
3 One more very nice and cute cafe is Tokyo Baby Cafe. Why to go there? This cafe will be interesting for those who have small children traveling with you. Enjoy your food without worrying about your little one. The cafe is fully stocked with picture books and toys, and includes a playroom, private rooms and separate spaces for nursing and changing diapers. Even furniture and interior accessories are made to satisfy both need - parents and their children. Tokyo Baby Cafe is strictly for children under 7 years. Any who accompanies them may enter as well, but if you don't meet criteria you cant enter.

5 One more interesting theme restaurant in Tokyo is a "Baratie, One Piece Restaurant" which takes the name from floating restaurant featuring in the manga. Locates on the 7th floor of Fuji Building in Odaiba Island which I featured number #10 in my list Things To Do In Tokyo and number #3 in the list Tokyo With Kids.
There are a lot of One Piece theme dishes and life-size figures, character voices coming from the kitchen. If your a One Piece fan this is a must place to go. Plus you can enjoy view of the Tokyo from the very nice observatory in a shape of the ball in a Fuji building.

+1 more not typical restaurant in Tokyo is PLANETARIUM Starry Cafe on the 5th floor of Haneda Airport. Why to go there? This is the first time an airport terminal building has a planetarium. It is inside the restaurant, so please enjoy your meals and drinks while watching 40,000,000 stars, which feels very unreal. It is very convenient to eat there on your way from Tokyo to your hometown. Try to come a little earlier and find time to experience this unusual and beautiful restaurant.
Open Hours 7:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
I will try all this not typical restaurants when I will visit Tokyo in December 2014! So stay tuned for more pictures, reviews ad advices! Have a good day and best travels!
