Skytrax holds an annual World Airline Awards and World Airport Awards as well as the ranking for airlines and airports. About airport we will talk later soon and now here is the list of the best airlines according to Skytrax!
I did try some airlines from the list and you can find my comments in italic !
1 Cathay Pacific
The airline's operations include scheduled passenger and cargo services to 168 destinations in 42 countries worldwide. "To Cathay Pacific, a great flight is not just about providing a smooth check-in, good food and comfortable seats, it is about anticipating what a customer wants before they need to ask".
I am glad that this airline is number one now. But my personal experience are not always good. During my flight in June 2014 the stuff was rude and with bad attitude - and I was flying business class actually. Yes, it was only once from all my Cathay Pacific experience (and I did fly more then 10 times with them already) but treated once like that I don't really want to use it again. So if I did my own listing I wouldn't put it #1, sorry :)
Headquartered in the Qatar Airways Tower in Doha, the airline operates a hub-and-spoke network, linking over 125 international destinations across Africa, Central Asia, Europe, Far East, South Asia, Middle East, North America, South America and Oceania from its base at Hamad International Airport, using a fleet of more than 100 aircraft.
I m sure its one of the best! Heard so many good thins about them from my friends! Will try it soon in my way to Dubai next year!
is the flag carrier of Singapore which operates from its hub at Changi Airport and has a strong presence in the Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia.
I love them! Very good airlines! And you must choose them when flying with kids - sometimes they give toys, sometimes different kid's card games and always special kid's cups for drinking water. And food is good, service is attentive and polite, plus entreatment during flight. And I never had any issues with them! Highly recommended by my family!
Emirates operates over 3,000 flights every week across its network of 140 destinations in over 70 countries across six continents from its hub in Dubai.
Have nothing to say about them yet
With 247 destinations, the airline is the fourth-largest carrier in the world by number of destinations. It operates scheduled services to 41 domestic and 206 international airports in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
is a Japanese airline. It operates services to 49 destinations.
I wanted choose them to fly from Manila, Philippines to Tokyo, Japan in December, 2014, but there are no flights in the mornings so I booked Philippine Airlines already. But there is always next time.
It is named after the mythical giant bird Garuda of Hinduism and Buddhist mythology. The airline operates flights to a number of destinations in Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Australia from its main hub.
is one of South Korea's two major airlines. it operates 14 domestic and 90 international passenger routes throughout Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Its actually good airline for me. I like their service but it became less nicer then before. I fly both - economy and business class. Airplanes on some destinations looks old, interior are not nice and no tv. But everything was fine when I fly business class, same good food and good attention.
is the flag carrier airline of the United Arab Emirates. Established by royal decree in July 2003 and based in Abu Dhabi. The name derives from the Arabic word for "union". The airline operates more than 1,000 flights per week to 96 passenger and cargo destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
I personally love it! I would give them number #1 place! Great airplanes and interiors, great service, great food - I love everything about them! Even economy class is a pleasant experience! I personally recommend them especially for long distance flights.
